La Funky Barn
Our retro-chic private residence — available only on special request
La Funky Barn is the living heart of our home in Ardouane: a two-level reimagined barn filled with light, warmth and mid-century touches. Spacious, atypical and deeply warm, it blends large wooden beams, a vast sun-filled living room with views over the valley, a fully equipped kitchen for passionate cooks, and an intimate loft beneath 18th-century chestnut beams.
This is where we live when we're in the valley — which is why this part of the house is only accessible occasionally, and only on prior request.

Two stone arches lead directly to the fully equipped kitchen.
The Kitchen — The Gourmets' Playground
The large kitchen runs the length of the main level and was designed for cooking 'for real'.

- •Lots of storage and a long worktop ideal for prep

From the window, views open towards Langlade and the Sentier des Légendes; while cooking, you sometimes hear the rustling of the plane trees in the courtyard.
The Loft — Warm Nest Under the Beams
Upstairs, the mezzanine loft: a space full of atmosphere, shaped by old chestnut beams and a gently sloping roof. You sleep comfortably three on futons (twins joined or separate), while keeping space in the center to stretch, read, meditate or simply enjoy the light from two Velux windows.
The second bathroom is on this level:

The whole upper part of the house breathes an airy softness — a small private universe perched above the village.

Combined with l'Atelier Éclectique, La Funky Barn forms a complete house on three levels, including two bathrooms, three toilets, a large modern kitchen, a kitchenette and four bedrooms.
🌞 In Summer — the Rewind Garden Experience
In spring, summer or autumn, on request, La Funky Barn can be combined with Rewind Garden, for a truly unique stay.
During the Day
During the day, you live outside: breakfasts under the leaves, leisurely lunches on the stone terraces, golden dinners in the evening light. The garden invites everything: reading, cooking, chatting, dreaming, strolling.
Under the Stars
But beware: under the stars of Rewind Garden, you often don't want to leave anymore. The sky is vast, deep, animated — many stay outside much longer than expected, before gently climbing back up to the warmth of La Funky Barn.
This is summer in Ardouane: a meeting between wild nature, gentle comfort, and total freedom — under canvas, under the stars, or under the beams.
